Black Studies Showcase

Celebrating student learning, identity, history, and the Black Studies curriculum.

The Black Studies Showcase highlights student learning connected to Black history, culture, identity, creativity, scholarship, and civic engagement across Harlem Community School District 5.

Each year, students, families, educators, and community partners come together to experience interactive school exhibits, student-led presentations, performances, and artifacts that show how Black Studies is brought to life across classrooms and school communities.

This annual showcase reflects District 5's commitment to culturally responsive and affirming education and to helping students see themselves, their communities, and the world with greater depth and understanding.
