Families are essential partners in student success.

Harlem Community School District 5 values families as partners in strengthening schools, supporting students, and building community across the district.

Families can stay connected through school-based parent leadership, districtwide engagement opportunities, workshops, surveys, showcases, and community events. Families should contact their child's school first for school-specific questions, concerns, or opportunities to get involved.

  • Participate in your school's Parent Association or PTA
  • Attend School Leadership Team meetings, where applicable
  • Join districtwide family workshops and learning opportunities
  • Share feedback through surveys and listening opportunities
  • Attend district showcases, celebrations, and community events
